Restoring or Crafting Half a Pair of Earrings
At Cassandra Goad, we take pride in offering a highly personalised service, exemplified through our bespoke offerings. One of our specialities is assisting clients who need to restore or craft half a pair of earrings, whether they are part of our collection or not.
Understanding your needs
We understand that losing or breaking one earring from a pair can be both distressing and all too common. Whether you need us to restore a single earring or craft a new one to match a lost or damaged earring, we would be delighted to assist.
The process
1. Consultation: Bring your Cassandra Goad or antique earring(s) to our boutique. We will assess the situation and discuss the necessary steps with you, often involving Cassandra herself. If you have a damaged half pair please bring both earrings with you to show us as earrings are often made to sit as a pair on the face and it is important that we understand the complete pair. If you have lost both earrings it is very helpful if you have a photo of the original pair, perhaps being worn, to help us identify an original Cassandra Goad design or just to understand the dimensions of the lost earring(s). We are also able to restore damaged clips or posts on your earrings, or discuss converting an existing earring fitting to one more suited to you. If you need to make an insurance claim we would be delighted to help you with a valuation for your insurance company.
2. Crafting: Once we have determined the required work, Cassandra will discuss your earring(s) with her workshop for them to start work. Our skilled craftsmen will then restore the existing earring or create a new one to complete the pair. If you have lost a half pair of one of Cassandra’s earrings, we may be able to make a half pair quite quickly for you.
How much will it cost?
The cost of our service varies depending on the type of earring and the extent of the work needed. During your consultation, we will provide a clear estimate of the price before we commence any work.
How long will it take?
The time required to complete the restoration or crafting process depends on the specific details of your request and the complexity of the design. We will inform you of the expected timeline during your consultation. As a guide we are usually able to remake a half pair in 6-8 weeks
