Cassandra Goad is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This Privacy Policy explains how we process customer information and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

1. The Information we collect and how we use it

We do not under any circumstances provide your personal information to any third parties. 

When you register to use our website we may need to know your name, postal address and e-mail address. 

To process an order we also may need your credit card number and expiry date plus any security details that the credit card processor may require. This information takes place in a secure environment where your details cannot be accessed by anyone except for Customer Services at Cassandra Goad. We use Shopify Payments, a highly respected and secure payment services - to process your payments. If for any reason you do not wish to give us your credit card details on-line, you may instead call the boutique and place you order directly with our team. 

We gather this information to allow us to process your registration, process any orders you may make and to contact you with information regarding your order. The relevant information is then used by us to communicate with you on any matter relating to the conduct of your account and the provision of the service in general. 

We may use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services. These statistics do not include information that can be used to identify any individual. No personal information regarding your account is passed to any third parties. If you opt in to receive further information then we may also provide you with information about special features on our website or any other services or products we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an e-mail message to enquiries@cassandragoad.co.uk. We will then delete any such information and cancel your newsletter subscription.

When you visit our boutique, footage of you may be recorded on our CCTV systems for your safety and security reasons only.

If you provide us with any personal data relating to relatives, partners or other individuals it is your duty to make such persons aware that their personal data may be shared with us and to provide them with appropriate information about how their personal data may be processed by us.

How we collect personal data from you 

Cassandra Goad takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent; unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice. Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw this consent at any time.

You may give us your Identity, Contact and Financial Data and Claims Data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes personal data you provide when you:

(b) Omnisend - how subscribers engage with our campaigns and certain profiling and technical information, based outside the EU

(d)Hotjar - information about how you engage with our website; certain technical information about the device, based outside the EU 

(e)Social media websites such as X & Facebook that will feed back certain defined characteristics to inform future advertising campaigns, based outside the EU.  

  •  Some personal data may be collected about you from the forms and surveys you complete, from records of our correspondence and phone calls and details of your visits to our website, including but not limited to personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We may also collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance 

 We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 18 years old or older.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer.

Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive - alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

4.Safeguarding Measures

Cassandra Goad  takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: -

  • Physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personal data;
  • We protect the security of your information while it is being transmitted by encrypting it;
  • We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption to keep this data safe;

5. Sale of Business

If this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisors and any prospective purchasers and their advisors and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

Because of the global nature of the Internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred in transit to countries outside the European Economic Area that do not have similar protections in place regarding your data and its use as set out in this policy.
